As statistics show, the human population is increasing every year, and the world’s land area is not increasing! People are occupying every possible living area, converting agricultural lands into residential and commercial areas.  And the drawback of decreasing agricultural lands is decreasing food supply. Without adequate food supply, more people will go hungry.

So, how can we increase our food supply if we do not have enough agricultural lands to plant our crops? The answer is Urban Farming.  In Urban Farming, cities are now able to produce crops using the only available space they have, their rooftops and abandoned parking lots. There are also other benefits you can derive from Urban Farming, like lessening transportation costs and you are also contributing to a cleaner air, increasing diversity and of course, educating the youth on how they can make a difference! With Urban Farming, we are, in a big way, responding to the increasing needs and demands of having an adequate food supply.
